Elk horn wedge or tool (broken). Locality: North bank of Chisholm Bay, Government Canal Locks, Ballard. Identified by F.S. Hall.* Large piece of antler with a portion of the proximal end broken off. The proximal end forms a pointed shape, and a large part of the artifact has been burnt. The catalogue number "8734" has been written on the artifact in white ink, and a label with the accession and catalogue information has been affixed to the artifact. Small stone pestle.* One pestle returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Since this material was only loaned, not deaccessioned, the Grant County PUD returned it to the Burke. (L. Phillips, 1/26/95). Miniature pestle.
