Description

A thin cylindrical hairpin of hollow silver, tapering to a point, and round in cross-section (two-thirds of the length of the pin). The shank (remaining one-third) is stamped in a solid pattern of lozenges. At both ends, there are horizontal lines around the pin with short parallel lines on the longitudinal axis in between.

Worn as ornament in a woman's bun (collector).

Worn by Hakka women in everyday dress.
