Description

A silver hairpin that has an elongated u-shape, 6.5cm. long. Affixed to the bottom of the 'u', there is a flat piece that is roughly rectangular in shape, 2.5cm. long and is engraved with geometric patterns and with the design of a moth and a Chinese cash.

Used as an ornament in a woman's bun and also to scratch the head under the bun. (collector).

Worn by Hakka women for everyday dress.
