Throwing Knife Item Number: K2.252 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Throwing knife with a long blade and a protruding segment near the midpoint of the length. Above the protruding element, the blade curves towards the protruding segment, and then abruptly curves back near the tip. The butt end is pointed and plant fibre is wrapped around the handle shaft.
For hunting and for war. Forged by a village blacksmith.
Cultural origin unknown; possibly Hausa or Fulani origin from either northern Nigeria or Chad?
