Description

Mottled wood shaft cut and re-joined near the mid-section. Several notches cut below the join. Black iron leaf-shaped spearhead flattened at the base and hammered around the shaft. Iron point of butt similarly attached and secured with two coils of iron band. Shaft below spearhead decorated with flattened brass and incised geometric design.

Used for hunting.

Usually made by local iron monger. Shaft cut to allow transportation to North America.
