A flaring metal blade with a circular hole at the square end.

Narrative

Vicus/Moche Style, contemporary with Moche 1 and 2, 0-200 C.E. A similar blade is reported to be from Vicus (Lumbreras). Jones also states there are numerous cast copper knives without decorated handles. She presumes the holes found in copper knifes are for attaching them, by a cord to the body of the user. Many flared knifes are depicted in Moche ceramics and are usually associated with decapitation and trophy heads (Moser).
