A spherical, gold bead constructed from two hemispheres of sheet metal joined at the equator. Two punched holes, one at each pole. Approximately half of the golden surface is covered with red/brown deposits.
A bead from a necklace or adornment that may have been used in life or funereal contexts. Many beads of this sort have Chimu associations (north coast, 750-1476 C.E.) but they may not be limited to the Chimu Style.
