Description

A long-beaked bird with a solid cast head and flattened body with winds spread in flight. A hole is punched through the flattened tail, slightly off-centre.

History Of Use

Probably an ornament which was worn suspended from the hole through the tail.

Iconographic Meaning

The long beak suggests this is a diving bird.
