Long rectangular wooden block with rounded edges and areas carved out to make moulds. Tibetan astrological calculation chart/diagram, carved on both sides, according to the Kālachakra calendar system with elements, such as the twelve Tibetan zodiac signs, nine Mewas, weekdays, and eight Parkhas.

Iconographic Meaning

Supernatural figures on mould are associated with portrayals of deity. Figures are toy-like and unusual (guta). Snake represents Chinese origin, and birds are representations of deity (guta).
