Description

Irregularly-shaped yellow shell beads alternating with 31 cylindrical, red-purple shell beads on a strand of monofilament. The yellow beads are quite porous and many have red pigment rubbed into the surface cavities. The yellow beads range in length from .7 to 2.0 and the red-purple beads range from .4 to .7cm.

History Of Use

Although the beads are ancient, the arrangement may not be since they have been restrung.
