Narrative

No inscription, signature or seals on the painting. An inscription on the mount makes a pious reference to Chu Te-jun, 1294-1365, a famous painter of the Yuan Dynasty. The painting is done in an old blue-green-gold style first developed in the T'ang Dynasty and most frequently used in later times for paintings of a purely decorative character and purpose.
