Description

Sheet copper earspool with round flange and convex outer surface. The outer edge curves to form slight lip. The stem is a soldered and hollow tube, joined along one edge and at the top. A soldered ? base encloses the tube. There are textile impressions on outer surface of flange and base.

History Of Use

Ear spools are commonly found in Chimu Period sites.
