Description

A short, wide poncho shirt in two shades of natural brown cotton. Dark brown, supplementary weft pattern band near bottom of shirt has diamond lattice flanked by scrolls. Constructed of two loom widths which are folded transverse to the warp and sewn together along weft selvedges, except for neck slit and armholes. Short warp fringe along lower edge. Z-spun, 2 plied s (warps) and z-spun wefts.

Appears to be a well-used child's poncho shirt. The construction of the warp yarns and the balanced set of the plain weave are most typical of central coast fabrics Rowe).
