Description

Light wood shaft cut through and joined near the midpoint. Black iron flattened spearhead hammered around the shaft and secured with one nail. Coil of wire below the spearhead. Solid pointed metal butt, flattened and hammered around the end of the shaft, secured with a coiled iron band.

Used for hunting.

Narrative

Usually made by local iron monger. Cut through shaft may have been made to ease transportation to North America.
