Ornament Item Number: Sf775 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Three sheet metal discs each with a hole near one edge. Fragments of metal staples remain in the holes of two discs. Small areas of a gilded surface are visible where the green deposit has chipped off.
Small discs like these are mechanically fastened by staples to adornments, like masks and crowns belonging to the Vicus style (Moseley, pl. XV; Disselhoff and Tushingham, pl.29).
