Description
Folding fan with eleven inner ribs of split bamboo and two bamboo parent ribs. Face, front and back, made of paper printed green streaked in silver on one side and painted with three ginko leaves(?) in gold on other side.
History Of Use
Summer fan, round or folding, can be carried throughout the summer by men or women. The folding fan is seen more often at the theatre or on the street as it can be tucked into the kimono or obi more easily.
