Description

Sash made of wool and cotton with a brown and white horizontal striped pattern and single-faced flower and leaf design overlaid on one half. The embroidered design is multi-coloured on reddish-purple ground. The fringed ends are multi-coloured wool.

History Of Use

Sash is part of the traditional female costume of the highlands. It is wound several times around the waist.
