Purse made from a piece of finely woven cotton fabric with a red cotton cord drawstring closure. The bag is trimmed with green plastic and machine stitched. The fabric is woven in a series of narrow bands of colour with two bands of geometric design.

Purse combining design characteristics of traditional Nepali hand-weaving with the features of a popular tourist item. This purse is an adaptation of a traditional draw-string bag. Bags of this material are among the most popular souvenir items in north India and the Nepali mountain towns.
