Description

Slightly elongated rectangle with an animal's head carved at either end. These heads may be used as handles. The design of the body of the animals is carried on the outside of the dish by incised lines; they appear to delineate wolves.

History Of Use

This is probably an oil dish, used for holding eulachon oil, in which dried salmon and other foods were dipped.
