Description

Skirt made with pieces of cotton fabric with raw edges joined by a central embroidered strip to form a rectangular tube. The detailing consists of a horizontal pattern of two widely spaced, white, parallel pinstripes, alternating with four narrowly spaced, white, parallel pinstripes on a dark blue ground. The central embroidered hand sewn strip is in repeating colours of orange, purple, blue, green and pink.

History Of Use

The mid-calf length of this skirt is a feature of San Martin de Sacatepequez (O'Neale).
