Description

A large ring consisting of a square blue-green turquoise in a roughly worked setting of low grade silver. The design of the setting includes small bosses around the bottom edge surrounding the turquoise setting and a cluster of slightly larger bosses at each side of the ring along the rope-like bands. The band is adjustable.

Narrative

This ring was worn by a lama and was bought from him at the lamasery, which is about 15 days journey by yak from Lhasa.
