Description

Pulley with elongated face, and elaborate hair style. Head is perforated with twisted fibre cord attached. Long neck joins head to squared shoulders. Perforations in bottom of arms. Figure rests on rectangular base.

History Of Use

Used for weaving. This loom pulley revolves on an axle, raising and lowering the heddles. The heddles are used to separate alternate warps in an horizontal hand loom. Looms are operated by men.
