Description

Top. Turned, natural wood, teardrop-shape top (part a) with cylindrical metal point implanted at pointed end. The top is bulbous at the middle with three brown grooves encircling. Top end has raised section which tapers to nipple. There is a cut, straight edged rubber 'cord' (part b).

History Of Use

Modern spin-top used as a child's toy. Tops were widely distributed in the Americas, including Central America, during pre-Columbian times.
