Silver necklace; numerous inter-locked circles form a spiralling circle chain. Each circle is 2 twisted wires, flattened and soldered after inter-linking.

History Of Use

Various types of necklaces and other jewellery are worn by Guatemalan Indian women. The amount worn is indicative of marital status, although this practice varies between villages. Chains of intricately entwined silver loops are made and worn in Coban (Wood and Osborne).
