Description

Heavy cotton blanket has alternating maroon and white rectangles and squares arranged in lines both vertically and horizontally. Edges are maroon and white striped. Unravelled warp creates fringes at both ends.

History Of Use

Covering for a bed or as extra padding over sleeping mat. This one is not tribal Burmese. Woven by machine in double length then cut across the warp for a single bed cover. Given in pairs as wedding gifts.
