Description

Seal puller with handles curved at the ends and the middle to fit a hand. A hole is drilled in the middle through which a leather thong is tied.

History Of Use

Seals provided a large part of the staple diet of the Inuit people. After the seal has been killed, a hole would be cut through the fleshy part of the lower lip. The thong would be passed through the hole in order to drag the seal.
