Description
Necklace consists of a variety of semi-precious stones in graduated sizes, strung on a synthetic string, and tied. The stones are round coral, odd-shaped pieces of turquoise and malachite in varying sizes. One coral bead has an inlay of silver in a band 0.3 cm. wide.

This necklace of coral, turquoise and malachite is representative of a woman's necklace in Leh, Ladakh. Necklaces of this type are highly prized both for their beauty and as an indication of the owner's prosperity.
