Blouse Item Number: Ei39 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Two identically cut panels; sleeveless; stitched together at sides; hidden seams; hemmed; v-shaped neck front and back. Red felt trim cut along one side in repeating pattern of peaks. White, yellow, green, and pink lengths of rickrack trim stitched overtop. Trim borders armholes, front and back of neck, and hem, then extends further to form tassels. Embroidered motif of green flower stalk with pink and yellow flowers repeated to follow trim around hem, arm, and neck openings.

Worn by a woman. Possibly from the P'ku people, Toungoo (Taw Oo) district.
