Description
A large oval basketry woven mat that has complex colour patterns using green, black, red, yellow, and natural coloured fibres. Plain weave strips joined together in oval shape.
History Of Use
For sleeping, sitting and prayer.
Narrative
Goodrich sent the mat to UBC as a gift, a few years after graduating from UBC. The Dean of Arts received it, and passed it to the museum for the collection.
