Description
Large, round basket with a square base and two over two under twill plaiting with each set in alternating colours. Rim has splints and widely spaced wrapping. Small braided brown fibre loop on one side.
History Of Use
Utility basket used for carrying and storing domestic goods such as agricultural products. For storing, these baskets were kept above ground to protect contents from damp and rodents.
