Description

Red, clay bottle, fine-grained with small, white limestone particles and fine silver mica. Orange matt slip. Flat base; pear-shaped body; somewhat angular tall narrow neck, small everted rim, shallow turning grooves on neck and body.

Collected by Mr. Cesnola. Part of a collection made in Cyprus in 1873 and presented to the Metropolitan Museum for the 1875 opening.
