Clay askos made of cream, fine-grained, hard-fired clay with very smooth surface to the touch. It contains a small quantity of white and dark grits and medium-sized flakes of silver mica. Black paint, lighter at the edges, fairly thick with a slight gloss. Low ring foot, elongated globular body, narrow neck with flaring rim at one end on top and slightly upturned spout at tail end. A strap handle joins spout to mouth. Decoration consists of three horizontal bands on lower portion of body and paint on tip of spout, mouth and top surface of handle.
For storing and pouring oil. Possibly used as a lamp-filler.
