Description

Round brass bowl (a) with lid (b). Bowl is shaped like a truncated sphere, riveted to flat base with single ring foot. Contracts to mouth; thicker at rim. Surface is shiny. Lid is hemispherical with 2 concentric circles engraved around perimeter. Knob at centre is shaped like an inverted cone, bulbous at apex.

History Of Use

Rice bowl used by adults. Brass serving and eating utensils are commonly used by wealthy people in Korea.
