Description

Round brass bowl on flat base 4.8 cm. in diameter with ring foot. Rounded sides expanding to mid-point, curving in slightly to mouth (8.3 cm. in diameter) with rolled rim. Turning marks are visible. Inside heavily encrusted with oil and dust ? rather dull patina with darker line at midsection.

History Of Use

Rice bowls, often with lids, are used by middle or upper class children. Larger sizes are used by adults. Brass serving and eating utensils are commonly used by wealthier people in Korea.
