Description

Bowl (a) on flat base (2.8 cm. in diameter) with ring foot. Sides are rounded near base, then straight, expanding to maximum diameter at mouth. Lid (b) is convex with sharply downturned rim and raised ring 2 cm. in diameter at centre top. Rather dull patina with dark patches and some encrustation inside bowls. Turning marks visible.

History Of Use

Brass serving and eating utensils are commonly used by wealthier people in Korea. This dish is probably used to hold spicy condiments.
