Bowhead whale shaped toggle with transverse hole drilled at centre. Short u-shaped flippers on sides next to wood ? inlaid eyes. Incised downturned mouth extends from just below each eye across large tapering snout. Narrows considerably to fluked tail at back.
Toggles are used for controlling lines, especially for hunting and game retrieval.
