Shoulder Bag Item Number: Ni23 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

The kuchuri was worn with the straps crossing from opposite shoulders and was used to carry personal objects; some of the richly embroidered bags were used for carrying the collected peyote plant.
The symbols on the items of clothing usually represents some aspect of religion or a vision; the diamonds are used to prevent the entry of departed spirits through an unwanted path.
