Description

Bucket (a) and lid (b). The bucket has a cylindrical body that flares at the top and bottom, and is widest at the bottom of the base. A handle of bent copper is fastened to the body with a copper loop and rivets at each end. The handle is engraved with a series of lines in a zigzag pattern as well as dots and circles. The body is hammered and incised in horizontal bands of geometric and intertwined guilloché designs. The lid is slightly convex with a knob at the top centre and is decorated with concentric bands of floral and geometric pattern.
