Rectangular colour print within a white paper frame. Print is of a room with several figures (three women, three men) lounging upon a wide window seat before an open window. In one lower corner, a servant works banging items together. Surrounding the room are several signs with Japanese writing. Stamped on the frame back is "Printed in Japan".
Reproduction print from the series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". The original woodblock print series was created by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, and produced c. 1830 to 1832. The series depicted Mount Fuji from a variety of views and locations, sometimes up close and sometimes off in the distance. The date of this reproduction is unknown.
