History Of Use

Jar (ezéé) used to transport and store water, and also ferment beer. This type of jar can also be used in specific religious or cultural ceremonies as part of an assemblage of objects placed in a shrine. These jars are usually made by women who create a variety of other vessels that they embellish with colours, designs, and motifs before firing them at low temperatures.
