Description
Rectangular colour print within a white paper frame. Two pack horses follow two figures up a steep green hill. Father up the hill are two more figures. In the distance is a large snow-peaked mountain against a beige sky. There is a box with Japanese writing in the upper left corner. Stamped on the frame back is "Printed in Japan".
History Of Use
Reproduction print from the series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". The original woodblock print series was created by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, and produced c. 1830 to 1832. The series depicted Mount Fuji from a variety of views and locations, sometimes up close and sometimes off in the distance. The date of this reproduction is unknown.
