Description

Large wooden shield with carved and painted designs. The shield is rectangular in shape, with rounded upper corners. On the top is a carved human figure, sitting with his head in his hands, elbows upon his knees. On the front is a repeated wavy motif in orange, outlined in brown on white ground. Knotted through holes along the sides are bark tassels. On the back is a protruding handle with two large square holes and a painted zigzag motif.
