Description

Large wooden shield with carved and painted designs. The shield is rectangular in shape, with rounded corners. On the top is a post with a row of carved squares on the front. On the front is a repeated ‘H’ motif with curling ends in orange, outlined in brown on white ground. Knotted through holes along the sides are sisal fibre tassels. On the back is a protruding curved handle with two square holes and a painted zigzag motif.
