Description

Two part arrow. First part is bamboo with a notch at one end, painted red band and line design, three feathers bound at top and bottom over painted design. Second part is wood, fitted and bound with fibre to bamboo, narrows to blunt point.

History Of Use

Might have been used in the ceremonial killing of deer.

The Wixáritari are known to the larger world as the Huichol, however that is not the name they use to refer to themselves.
