Description

Carved wood Bis pole painted entirely with dark brown-black pigment. Above the spiked base rise two columns, each with three figures facing forward, with their feet on the head of the one below; in the back column are males who reach forward to hold the head or shoulders of the females in the slightly lower front column who reach back to hold their knees. The eyes, head bands, and carved tattoos on face and body are painted red and white. The top female wears a large branching headdress, the bottom female kneels.
