Context
This type of bailer, according to Bill Holm in Spirit and Ancestor University of Washington Press, 1989, page 70, is unique to the Westcoast of Vancouver Island and the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. The original European tribal names and, where possible, current tribal names have both been given in separate GLT fields.; The bailer would have been used for bailing out canoes.
