Description

A container made from a dark brown gourd shaped like a sphere, from which the top one-third has been cut away. A hole is bored near the rim for insertion of a cord of braided root(?) 21.5 cm. long. The main design consists of an incised band around the rim consisting of a single line with a herringbone pattern.

Used by men in rituals as a container for ritual substances, primarily oils and animal blood.
