Description

Part of a seal drag handle in the shape of a seal's head; back slopes to flat end. Longitudinal hole drilled into head from back. Three holes through bottom to longitudinal hole (the one below the chin is at an angle). Inlaid eyes, holes for nostrils on flattened snout, straight line below indicates mouth. Mottled brown.

History Of Use

Seal drags are used to drag a seal kill over snow and ice. A line is attached through the seal's jaw and the handle attached to a longer line or to a dog harness line. The seal is dragged on its back.
