Ivory harpoon head with beveled edges and curving sides; diagonal slope across bottom; round open socket hole at bottom; line hole through harpoon head above socket. Blade slit at rounded tip with channel on one side of slit to near centre. Triangular incised line and deeply drilled dot design on all but channeled and bottom surfaces.

History Of Use

Toggling harpoons are used to hunt large sea mammals because they penetrate beneath the hide and the blubber.
