Description
Miniature, cylindrical basket woven with black-purple and yellow bands on natural swamp grass; three black geometric designs around the sides. Lid (part b) for basket has blue and yellow bands on natural grass with a black circle in the centre. The centre of the base shows strips of cedar bark.
History Of Use
Basketry combines wrapped twining and crossed warp twining. Grass patches were owned. Grass was harvested after July.
